deCONZ REST API Documentation

documentation-icon The deCONZ REST-API provides the easiest way to monitor and control a wide range of ZigBee lights, switches and sensors from popular brands like Philips Hue, IKEA Trådfri, OSRAM Lightify and Xiaomi powered by the deCONZ software from dresden elektronik.

The REST API allows third party applications easy monitoring and control of a ZigBee network from local or remote operating clients.

Hardware requirements

The REST-API and underlying deCONZ software supports the following dresden elektronik ZigBee devices which act as network coordinator.

RaspBee ZigBee shield for Raspberry Pi
ConBee ZigBee USB dongle for PC and Raspberry Pi
Phoscon Gateway Ready-to-go ZigBee gateway

Extensibility

The deCONZ REST API Plugin is a open source project licensed under the BSD license and available at GitHub. It could therefore be extended with further functionality, for example to support more devices.
