Simple migration

It is possible to transfer a Zigbee installation to a new system using the Phoscon app backup function. This allows you, for example, to transfer an existing setup from a ConBee or ConBee II to the ConBee III without having to retrain all network participants.

Phoscon App / deCONZ update

The ConBee III is recognized correctly from Phoscon App / deCONZ version 2.24.2. Therefore older versions must be updated before switching.

The update process proceeds like a new installation and is described in section Installation.

ConBee / ConBee II to ConBee III

  1. Open the Phoscon app, create a backup and save.

  2. Shut down the gateway and swap ConBee II for ConBee III.

  3. Switch on the gateway and log in to the Phoscon app.

  4. Loading the backup file.

  5. The network parameters are updated in the background and the software is restarted. This can take up to a minute.

  6. The network can now be controlled via the ConBee III.

Note:

The two gateways ConBee / ConBee II and ConBee III must not be active at the same time because the network settings are copied. The ConBee II must be unplugged from the USB socket. Simultaneous operation will cause the wireless network to malfunction.

RaspBee / RaspBee II to ConBee III

  1. Open the Phoscon app, create a backup and save.

  2. Shut down the gateway and unplug the RaspBee II and connect the ConBee III to the USB socket.

  3. Switch on the gateway and log in to the Phoscon app.

  4. Loading the backup file.

  5. The network parameters are updated in the background and the software is restarted. This can take up to a minute.

  6. The network can now be controlled via the ConBee III.

Note:

The two gateways RaspBee / RaspBee II and ConBee III must not be active at the same time because the network settings are copied. The RaspBee II must be removed from the pin header. Simultaneous operation will cause the wireless network to malfunction.
